Jerez Airport
is the main airport for the Costa de La Luz. You can also
easily reach the Sierra de Grazalema National Park including
villages of Prado del Rey, El Bosque and Grazalema. Jerez
de la
Frontera is only a 75 minute drive from Marbella, but you
can always stop off and visit Sanlucar de Barrameda, Tarifa,
Chiclana, Algerciras, Gibraltar and Cadiz to name a few.
The airport at Jerez is small and compact, with facilities
located over two floors. The airport has a cafe area
in the 'public area' which is located on the upper level,
a smaller cafe is
located in the departure lounge, just before the security
and passport checks is a small shop offering gifts and
daily international newspapers.
A duty free shop is available, but be warned prices are
often better in the local supermarkets!
TRANSPORT
Jerez airport is located 5km north of the city of Jerez.
It is east of the NIV road to Seville. There is no
direct access from the AP4 Sevilla - Cadiz
toll motorway. Leave the AP4 Motorway at the Jerez North Exit ( km79
), and at the roundabout take the link road (signposted
airport) to the N-IV.
On the N-IV head north one kilometre until you see the airport slip road
on the right hand side.
There are several ways of getting to and from Jerez Airport, you
can use one of the Jerez Airport Taxis, hire a car and driving yourself,
or catch the airport buses thatconnect you to Jerez town centre
and many of the local towns such as Sanlucar and Cadiz. The train
station at Jerez airport is now open with a restricted timetable. Jerez

Buses run between Jerez Airport and Jerez town centre and then onto
Cadiz. For buses to other destinmations such as El Puerto de Santa
Maria, Chiclana, Sanlucar etc you may need to change at Jerez bus
station. The costs of the buses are low, from around €1.20

A taxi from Jerez Airport into the City centre will cost you around
€15, from the airport to Sanlucar around €40 and to Cadiz
around €55.
Jerez airport has two car parks, one directly
opposite the terminal and another a short walk away. The costs
are approximately 0.90 Euro for each hour or part of, up
to 12.00 Euros for each 24 hours. There is cheaper private parking
available (without airport security) in a field just outside the
airport costing
3.00 Euros a day or 15 Euros a week.

British Airways & Iberia fly to Jerez mainly with connections in Barcelona

Easyjet operates a flight from Jerez de la Frontera to Manchester,
London and Berlin.

fly from many German cities to Jerez airport.
