BBVA's to reduce head count with a deal for staff

In what I consider a very good deal....The BBVA bank is offering five year sabbaticals to employees who have been with them for more than eight years and who are more than 33 years old. They are being offered 30% of their wage during the five years, and are being guaranteed a job to return to.

The offer is made only to employees of the bank in Spain.
The bank had a total of 29,070 workers in Spain at the end of last year, and it is too early to see how many will be tempted by the offer.

I wonder what terms it will be and if you can get other work at the same time as being paid 30% of your previous salary...?
