Sanlucar de Barrameda
feria is officially a 5
day event, but to most it's a full week when the locals slow
down, work shorter than the normal working hours and let their
hair down.
Sanlucar Feria is not just a local festival but one that all
Andalucians celebrate; with their love of colour, crowds,
music, dance and of course here in Sanlucar de Barrameda
MANZANILLA. Manzanilla is the local wine
after which the Feria de Manzanilla is named.
Sanlucar's Feria officially starts on the Tuesday night when
the lights are turned on, but un-officially commences the
weekend before. Throughout the week of the Feria de Manzanilla
in Sanlucar de Barrameda we keep you updated
on events. The final night, Sunday, ends with a spectacular
firework display. The following day is a local holiday when
everyone catches up on their missed sleep!

During the Feria many events take place including Sevillana
dancing competitions in the town hall caseta and several bullfights
take place over the weekend at the Bonanza bull ring a short
walk from the town centre of Sanlucar. Often well know stars
of the bull fighting world appear; past stars have included
'Jesulin de Ubrique' and 'Enrique Ponce'. |
