Day 3 of the Feria is the horse parade. The Calzada will
fill with horse riders. It is
one of the remaining references to the livestock fair
from which the Feria originated. At present, it is the
only way to move around the Real in a way that is more
comfortable than simply walking.
In Jerez which is more famous for the horse feria the
horse riders and harnesses can enter the fairground from
midday
onwards,
and are allowed to stay within it until eight in
the evening. To take part in the horse
parade, you don't need to have a horse or carriage you
can purchse a ride.
