Andalucia noise law regulations

Post by Ian »

All Town Halls in Andalucia will now have to take action following any complaint about noise from residents. The Junta de Andalucía is putting pressure on the town halls to act against noise pollution in Andalucia.

When someone makes a complaint about noise, article 52 of the new rules says that town hall representatives must make an inspection an inspection with measuring equipment within 15 days. If the test is not carried out in that time, the person making the complaint can go to the Provincial Environment Delegation offices and present their unattended to (report) denuncia, and then the Junta de Andalucia will take action.

If the result of the audio test indicates an infraction, then the complainant can take action against both the owner of the establishment creating the noise, and the Town Hall which did nothing about it. Fines of between 601 and 300,000 Euros can be made.

Happy sleeping....
