New speed camera in Cadiz province

Cadiz province Traffic Department are trying to reduce speeding have introduced the seven speed cameras in the province. One has just placed one at the exit of the Alcalá tunnel on the A-381 between Jerez and Los Barrios with a speed limit of 100kmh.

Due to budgetary restrictions not all of the systems have radar machines as only two radars available and these are changed from one place to another.

The speed controls are located on the:
A-7 between Algeciras and Malaga at kilometre 118.820
A-381 Jerez-Los Barrios dual carriageway at kilometre 37.3
CA-33 between Cadiz and San Fernando at kilometres 4.310 and 3.970
N-IV Cadiz -Madrid highway at kilometre 618.850
N340 between Cadiz and Algeciras at kilometre 70.38 and 84.86.

An update on the speed camera placed by the Alcala tunnel on the A381. I drove passed on 25 May and it was flashing at speeding motorists. However, on 27 May on driving back to Jerez and obeying the speed limit the camera which is placed in the central reservations looked somewhat blackened and burned out. Makes me think of either an electrical fault or someone who didn’t want to get caught!! Wonder if the camera sends information snaps immediately via a telephone connection or other???
