Hi Ian

Can I ask if there are any special festivities in Sanlucar for New Year's Eve/Day or Jan 5/6? Will most restaurants and shops be open then?

Thanks

The Mosto Route continues until the 5th Jan, below is the Xmas New Year activities, mainly Nativity scenes at the churches and convents.

Also on the evening of the 5th Jan, the procession of the 3 kings marches through Sanlucar.

New Years eve will be busy in Plaza Cabildo in the afternoon and around 6pm most places will start to close for the normal family dinners, around 1am places re-open to drink in the New Year.

Shops will only close on 1st & 6th Jan.
