Hola! How long is the walk through Donana National Park from Sanlucar de Barrameda to El Rocio? I am planning to come for the pilgrimage :)

Hi,

As far I know you have to be in an official group, you cannot just simple walk across. The park has restricted access and to walk from Sanlucar to El Rocio takes around 3 days plus or minus. You have to be part of a brotherhood or group of friends with all the equipment, food and water etc.

A friend has said a list of (walking) pilgrims exists which you have to put your name down, you have to pay a contribution and then they send you a list of what you need to bring in terms of supplies etc.

Let me know if you would be interested.

Thank you so much for the extra info Ian! Might have to rethink things, as we didn't realise it would take so long to walk through the park. Cheers :)
